For this web design project, the client needed a responsive website that met the following needs:
- allow for great high-resolution images in a feature slider
- links and information about partners in the project
- embed videos and press
- calendar of upcoming events
- interactive google map with walk score
- blog to update about the construction process
- social media links
We decided that WordPress would be a great platform for the project. I installed WordPress on the client’s host server, and found a free theme that worked well for the content. I organized his material into appropriate categories and pages, edited graphics for optimal display, created a new background, embedded videos, maps, and other content. We made sure the client knew how to continue maintenance of the site, reviewing the best practices for uploading, editing, categorizing new content. The end result was a beautiful, professional site that really highlighted this property.
