The American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) needed some customized slides for an upcoming training series. We needed to convey a visual comparison of various statistics, to quickly make an impact during the presentation. I decided to use Illustrator for this project, as it would offer me the alignment, pattern, and text tools I’d need.
The organization already had a basic theme for their powerpoint slides, so I used their dark colored background, but made it a little more interesting by adding a subtle gradient and floating a transparent logo on the lower right side. The little infographic ‘men’ were a based on a vector design, that I then turned into a custom pattern, which could be manipulated to fill the needed shapes.
The clients were happy with this final product, and also wanted to include it in a printed document. To make it easier to print (and more legible in the smaller scale), I prepared a variation with a white background for their print / pdf version.
