Part 2 Production Notes about the EdX course “Making Science and Engineering Pictures”, a free online course taught by science photographer Felice Frankel.
Robin Heyden was the Educational Consultant on this project, and shortly after the course was completed, she and I sat down to a skype conversation about the creation and design of the course videos.
This is one conversation, broken up into 8 segments, I’m starting the playlist here with the second of the series, focusing on how to design a course to use the benefits of online education. The ensuing videos in this playlist talk about my working relationship with Felice Frankel, organizing assets, creating motion graphics and other components in Illustrator and After Effects, crafting an educational storyline, and finally crediting all the members of our production team.
